संक्षिप्त परिचय राजकीय, साहित्यिक, सांस्कृतिक आणि सामाजिक व्यवहारांकडे भिंगातून पाहात अरभाट आणि चिल्लरांचे माप त्यांच्या त्यांच्या पदरात टाकण्याचे (नसते) उपद्व्याप गेली १८ वर्षे अविरत करत आलेला निरूद्योगी म्हणजेच तंबी दुराई
सविस्तर परिचय आपल्याला आपल्या भोवताली घडत असलेले जेवढे दिसते त्याच्या किमान शंभरपट तरी आपल्या नजरेआड घडत असते. माणसे दिसतात तशी अजिबात नसतात आणि आहोत तसे आपण दिसू नये यासाठी सतत धडपडत असतात. अशी स्वतःला फुल समजणारी अनेक हाफ माणसे समाजात सर्वच क्षेत्रात असतात. डॉ. अरूण टिकेकर यांनी अशांचा समाचार घेण्यासाठी सदराचे शस्त्र पुरवले आणि ते शस्त्र निट चालते रहावे यासाठी समाजातील या विविध लोकांनी आपल्या आचरणातून सतत दारूगोळा पुरवला. तंबी दुराईने तो नेमका उचलून घेण्याचं व्रत कसोशीनं पाळलं आहे. दोन फुल आणि एक हाफ घेतल्याशिवाय रविवारची झिंग चढत नाही अशी अनेकांची स्थिती त्या काळात झाली होती,त्याला सर्वस्वी तंबी दुराई जबाबदार आहेत. रविवारचे दोन पेग टिकेकरांच्या प्रोत्साहनाने सांस्कृतिक व्यवहारातील दांभिकतेच्या दर्शनाने काठोकाठ भरलेले असंत आणि त्या शेवटच्या अर्ध्या पेगची कीक त्याहून मोठी असे. कुमार केतकरांच्या सहवासाने त्यात राजकीय शरसंधानाची भर पडली आणि बाळासाहेब ठाकरे, शरद पवार, आर आर पाटील, विलासराव देशमुख. राज ठाकरे या सर्वांनाच या अडीच पेगचे व्यसन जडले. खरे तर तंबीने बाळासाहेबांनाही अनेकदा डिवचले होते तरीही, 'मी जे चित्रांमधून करतो तेच तू शब्दांमधून करतोस', अशी दाद खुद्द बाळासाहेबांनी मातोश्रीवर बोलावून दिली. (एरवी अनेकांना मातोश्रीवर ते केवळ समज देण्यासाठीच बोलावत). राज ठाकरेही त्यांच्यावर तंबीने केलेली टीका खिलाडू वृत्तीने घेतात. शरद पवार वाचतात आवर्जून परंतु आपण वाचले आहे असे कधीही चुकूनही दाखवत नाहीत. काही साहित्यिक जराशा मस्करीने चिडून उठल्याचेही तंबीने अनुभवले आहे. या सर्वच व्यवहारांमधली मोठी माणसे कमी होऊन हळू हळू खुजी,दीड दमडीची माणसे संख्येने वाढू लागली तेव्हा तंबीने “दीड दमडी”ची शस्त्रे परजली. २०१७ मध्ये प्रधान सेवकांच्या मर्जीने एवढे काही घडत होते की तंबीने थांबून थोडी वाट पहायचे ठरवले. पण आता तो त्याच्या नवीन अवतरासह पुनश्र्च आला आहे.

नागनाथ संतराम इनामदार, (जन्म:२३ नोव्हेंबर १९२३, मृत्यू १६ ऑक्टोबर २००२) हे ऐतिहासिक कादंबरी लेखनासाठी प्रसिद्ध आणि लोकप्रिय असलेले नाव. त्यांच्या झेप, झुंज, मंत्रावेगळा, राऊ, शहेनशहा, शिकस्त, राजेश्री, या कादंब-यांनी अमाप लोकप्रियता मिळवली. ते 'भूमीतरंग' या नियतकालिकाचे संपादक होते. त्याच्या लेखनाची सुरूवात कथा लेखनाने झाली. १९४५ मध्ये 'अनिल' या साप्ताहिकातून इनामदारांनी आपले लेखनसुरू केले. 'हंस', 'मोहिनी', 'किर्लोस्कर', 'साप्ताहिक स्वराज्य' वगैरे नियतकालिकांतून त्लेयांनी कथा लेख लिहिले.
मराठेशाही आणि पेशवे यांचा कालखंड हा त्यांच्या कांदबरी लेखनासाठीचा आवडता काळ. त्रिंबकजी डेंगळे या ऐतिहासिक व्यक्तिरेखेवर त्यानी लिहीलेल्या 'झेप' या कादंबरीच्या अनेक आवृत्त्या निघाल्या. १९६६ साली आलेल्या त्यांच्या 'झुंज' या कादंबरीनेही लोकप्रियता मिळवली. दुस-या बाजीरावाच्या आयुष्यावर बेतलेली 'मंत्रावेगळा' , औरंगजेबाच्या जीवनावरील 'शहेनशहा', पार्वतीबाईसाहेब पेशवे यांच्या जीवनावरील 'शिकस्त', थोरल्या बाजीरावांवरील 'राऊ' मधे या कादंबऱ्यांनी त्यांचे नाव मराठी साहित्याच्या इतिहासात कायमचे राहील.
