We are “Punashcha”, a small venture in field of “Marathi Literature”, aiming to source & provide curated articles to quality marathi audience. We are focused to provide 100% digital experience right from member registration to content delivery and feedback. The venture is brain child of “Mr. Kiran Bhide”, a well known 1st generation entrepreneur in hospitality industry of Maharashtrian Cousin.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

We do not collect any personal data while you are navigating our website and reading free articles.

But Punashcha is partly paid service. You require “Paid Membership” to read protected articles on Punashcha. Here we collect your name, email, phone etc. information to grant you membership. The payment is separately collected on “Instamojo” website and we do not collect any payment related details like credit/debit card number(s), CVV etc from payment gateway service provider.

We use your mobile number in a common whatsapp group to keep you updated about new articles and schemes. We do not send any type of advertisement/spam. We do not call you without your consent. We do not share this information with anyone, in any way.

The site is developed using WordPress CMS. By default WordPress does not collect any personal data about visitors, and only collects the data shown on the User Profile screen from registered users.

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Contact information collected from Contact Form Submission is kept for customer service purposes, but we you do not use the information submitted for marketing purposes.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

The site uses SSL provided by “Let’s Encrypt Authority X3” for all pages and forms and your data is transferred using encryption, though some images and some 3rd party embedded information may be transferred without encryption but that’s not your personal data.
